“What We’re Up Against” is a black comedy that takes a serious look at the ways women are treated in male-dominated work environments. This is Wasatch Theatre Company’s (WTC’s) effort to insert the regional theatre conversation into the #MeToo and #Time’sUp movements. Recently revised in New York, “What We’re Up Against” is one of the nation’s most popular shows. Eliza is an employee at an architecture firm, and she is tired of being slighted, ignored, and patronized because of her sex. She wonders what she has to do to have her ideas seriously considered. When she takes matters into her own creative hands, her colleagues and supervisors respond in humorously uncomfortable but all too-familiar ways. This is a piece that everyone should see, especially now, and one that WTC hopes sparks a community-wide dialogue. This is a world premiere of the newest version!
